About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Investigate and resolve a wide range of customer security-related requests with precision and professionalism
Ensure compliance and operational excellence, safeguarding trust across the network
Drive innovation by contributing to projects that enhance our tools and workflows, integrating complex processes into daily operations
Analyze current practices of data, systems and network security infrastructure/controls. Develop and implement security policies and procedures and compliance controls
Analyze complex/sensitive security baseline non-compliance reports/cases and evaluate and recommend within defined practices and policies, methods and techniques for resolution
Ensure the monitoring of overall security systems including policies, methods and procedures, that safeguard the integrity of and access to enterprise systems, files and data elements
Notify management about security violations and propose solutions to possible security threats
Investigate complex/sensitive security matters, develop security risk analysis scenarios and propose response procedures
Provide management with information to advise them of critical issues that may affect customer, or corporate objectives
May conduct work on complex projects that include writing requirements, architecture design, proof of concept, supervision of implementation, training of staff on security projects
Identify potential areas where existing data security policies/controls and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed including security testing and checks for appropriate cyber defense
Take proactive steps to resolve problems before they arise
Maintain knowledge of changing technologies, and provide recommendations for adaptation of technologies or policies
May provide coaching and guidance to more junior staff. May be consulted on people and department management issues
Evaluate and ensure appropriateness of tools used to automate day to day control activities
May ensure appropriate security management access and compliance control of systems and networks

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field: or equivalent work experience
6 to 10 years of relevant work experience
