Financial Accountant

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping activities
- Accurately record financial transactions in the accounting system
- Manage accounts payable, employee expenses, bank transactions, and payment processing
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and support monthly and annual closing activities
- Support VAT filings, payroll tax administration, statutory reporting, and external audits
- Oversee Belgian and US accounting software and maintain seamless data flow
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accountancy, Finance, or Business Economics
- Proven experience in a similar accounting role
- Solid grasp of financial processes, bookkeeping, and account management
- Proficient with accounting software
- Comfortable troubleshooting technical issues
- Keen eye for detail
