About the role
- Data analysis & modeling: Analyze and prepare data from sporting performance areas as well as from commercial and organizational domains
- Implement and continuously develop analytical use cases in the sporting context
- Apply statistical methods as well as modern AI, machine learning, and deep learning techniques
- Develop and evaluate performance metrics and scoring models, comparative and benchmark analyses, regression, classification, and clustering models
- Carefully document methods, assumptions, and results
- Data preparation & infrastructure: Support data cleansing, validation, and transformation for analytical tasks
- Contribute to basic automations and data-driven processes
- Project work & stakeholder management: Assist in capturing, structuring, and documenting requirements from business units
- Visualize and present analysis results in a clear and audience-appropriate manner
Requirements
- Completed degree or nearing completion in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Informatics, or a comparable field
- Ideally, some practical experience in Data Analytics / Data Science and data visualization
- Very good knowledge of Python and BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Basic knowledge of data preparation, data cleaning, and feature engineering
- Strong willingness to learn and interest in new technologies and analytical methods
- Ability to present complex analysis results in a clear and audience-appropriate way
- Team-oriented and structured working style
