About the role
- Administer and maintain relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server and MongoDB), ensuring high availability, data integrity, and security;
- Perform advanced performance tuning, analyzing execution plans, indexes, and system bottlenecks;
- Define, implement, and monitor backup, restore, and disaster recovery policies;
- Support and review complex data models, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and governance;
- Develop and review stored procedures, triggers, views, and high-performance critical queries;
- Propose and implement best practices for data architecture, monitoring, and automation of routines;
- Act proactively and reactively on incidents, leading root cause analyses and action plans;
- Document database processes, standards, and policies;
- Collaborate with development, BI, and business teams, supporting data-driven strategic decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field;
- Solid experience with SQL Server (administration, tuning, and security);
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB and knowledge of NoSQL databases;
- Proficiency in query optimization and advanced data modeling (normalization, denormalization, indexing, partitioning, etc.);
- Knowledge of replication, high availability, and scalability strategies;
- Experience with data security policies and data governance;
- Analytical and strategic mindset, with a strong sense of ownership and technical leadership;
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams;
- Proactive attitude to anticipate issues and propose innovative solutions.
