- Serve as SME for medical coding compliance and updates
- Perform analysis of medical coding changes
- Prepare and distribute coding change listings
- Collaborate with policy owners and stakeholders
- Participate in MMIS modernization meetings
- Maintain business rules and coding documentation
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience
- Strong experience in medical coding
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare insurance
- 5+ years of experience working with IT developers/programmers
- 5+ years of hands-on medical coding experience
- 3+ years clinical experience in a healthcare environment
- Current, active licensure as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina
- Certification as CPC or CCS
- Proficiency in ICD-10 demonstrated by exam or certification within one year
