About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Growth & Transformation portfolio, partnering closely with new community builds and acquisition integrations
- Lead HR strategy and operations across multiple Sunrise communities
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment, job fairs, and hiring processes
- Ensure compliance with Sunrise Hiring Standards and employment laws
- Lead onboarding, orientation, and system access for new team members
- Maintain HRIS, ATS, personnel files, and regulatory documentation
- Manage unemployment and workers’ compensation claims
- Serve as HR partner to department leaders on performance management
- Lead employee relations matters and internal investigations
- Drive team member engagement initiatives and action planning
- Deliver HR systems and policy training for front-line staff
- Maintain audit readiness and complete monthly compliance controls (MKCC)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR, Business, or related field
- 2+ years HR experience (senior living or healthcare preferred)
- Supervisory and employee relations experience
- Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills
- High integrity and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems
- Estimated 75% travel, including potential travel to California as needed
