About the role
- Lead and manage the Industrial Engineering department with 25–30 employees
- Full responsibility for all operational deliverables, including budget and resource management
- Accountable for manufacturing perspectives in the product development process for Sunfire technologies
- Develop and industrialize innovative manufacturing processes for high-temperature and pressurized alkaline electrolysis
- Manage operational ramp-up of new products and make strategic decisions
Requirements
- Degree (Diploma, Master’s) in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a comparable engineering discipline
- Extensive experience in leadership and project management, particularly in process optimization and digitalization
- Deep expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, quality methods, data analysis and budget control
- Confident in preparing specifications, conducting design approvals, machine acceptance tests and capability verifications
- Proven experience planning and supporting the commissioning of production equipment
- 5–10 years of professional and leadership experience in mass production or small-series manufacturing
- Strong communication skills, assertiveness, strategic and analytical thinking, and a hands-on mentality
- Fluent German and business-fluent English (minimum C1 level)
