About the role
- Contract management: You review, analyze and negotiate contracts such as work (EPC), supply, service or framework agreements and amend them where necessary.
- Negotiation, risk and opportunity management: You prepare contract negotiations, develop appropriate strategies in coordination with Sales and Legal, and document negotiation outcomes and decisions.
- Stakeholder management & internal collaboration: You coordinate internal alignments with project management and specialist departments such as IP, Procurement, Project Execution, Finance & Treasury, and Legal.
- Reporting & documentation: You manage all relevant transaction documents and professionally prepare materials for decision-making processes, reporting and board meetings.
Requirements
- You hold a degree in engineering, industrial engineering, business administration, business law or a comparable qualification.
- You have several years of proven professional experience in contract and transaction management—ideally in plant engineering or complex industrial projects (e.g., EPC or turnkey).
- You possess solid knowledge of contract law and international contracting, for example under FIDIC, NEC, JCT, VOB or BGB.
- You can quickly grasp legal and commercial issues, summarize them precisely and derive appropriate solutions.
- Your experience in stakeholder management and interdisciplinary collaboration enables you to retain an overview even in complex projects.
- You are able to analyze complex interrelationships and communicate clearly, understandably and with appropriate targeting to the audience.
- Your analytical thinking helps you to reliably carry out cost, schedule and quantity assessments.
- You demonstrate strong negotiation skills, excellent communication abilities and a structured, methodical, solution-oriented working style.
- You are willing to travel regionally, nationally and internationally.
- You have good written and spoken German and English—additional languages are an advantage.
