About the role

  • Strengthen mobile device security by conducting reconnaissance on emerging threats, testing exploits and jailbreaks, and performing field audits together with the Risk team.
  • Standardize testing procedures and create model-level security risk reports.
  • Perform periodic reviews of phone models against the latest vendor patches and fixes and periodically test devices with vendor-provided patches/fixes.
  • Assist the creation and review of MDM policies and help in creating MDM policy and review on a regular basis.
  • Develop tampering and detection solutions for Android devices and work on Tampering Detection solutions for Android devices.
  • Recommend firmware or configuration upgrades for implementation by the Programs and MDM teams.
  • Perform reconnaissance and test various hacking solutions available over the internet (Dark web, Forums etc).
  • Work with Risk to absorb the results of customer visits and field audits and do sample field audits with Risk.

Requirements

  • Possess deep understanding into Android mobile phones - Hardware, Firmware and OS level.
  • Are an expert in phone security bypass testing not limited to flashing, Mobile device management- MDM bypass, Factory Reset Protection - FRP bypass, Original equipment manufacturer - OEM bypass, motherboard tampering.
  • Have hands on experience with various testing tools like Chimera, Pandora, Infinity or any other similar.
  • Have previous experience with Samsung, Nokia, Techno Pop, Itel, Infinix smartphones is preferred.
