About the role
- Assist the Operations Team under the supervision of the Operations Manager to ensure consistent service delivery per assigned KPIs
- Support imports, procurement, inbound and outbound logistics, inventory management and warehouse operations
- Perform data evaluation and reporting using VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and advanced Excel formulas
- Inventory reporting, planning and forecasting
- Design and improve operational processes and sustainable solutions
- Undertake system (ERP & CRM) transactions for all operations activities
- Set up and oversee warehouse and retail point operations, ensuring inventory best practices
- Monitor inventory needs and coordinate with sales, escalating as needed to meet business timelines
- Execute end-to-end procurement processes, maintain approved vendors database, and manage supplier relationships
- Perform cash flow forecasting
- Onboard and manage 3PLs, clearing agents, security firms and transport companies
- Oversee importation and exportation of products into Madagascar in liaison with clearing agents
- Manage 3PL relationships and related system transactions
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Procurement & Logistics, or related field
- 4+ years’ relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of supply chain operations, including import/export, transport routes, warehousing, inventory, retail, and last-mile distribution
- Proven experience with ERP systems and proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite
- Familiarity with regional legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Strong people relations and teamwork abilities
- Skilled in business planning, procurement, and problem-solving
- Ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities
- Value-motivated and able to work alone with minimal supervision, passionate about serving rural off-grid consumers
