About the role
- Job Location: Abuja, Nigeria
- The Sun King Marketing team is looking for a Trade Marketing Associate who will drive disbursement of marketing merchandise. We are looking for someone who is passionate and excited about the opportunity to bring affordable, energy to homes.
- Think, design, produce, and promptly distribute promotional materials tailored to the needs of the trade.
- Identify, plan and execute Sun King’s participation in trade Events and Exhibitions in the northern part of Nigeria.
- Ensure accountability and accuracy of marketing merchandise in the stores and northern warehousing, acting as custodians of these merchandises.
- Ensure marketing stock sheet and trackers are regularly updated.
- Conduct trade visits to gather insights on customer behavior, and route-to-market effectiveness.
- Assist with the northern retail outlet and collection centre branding.
- Work closely with the regional sales team to identify growth opportunities and ensure execution of marketing-led sales initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2+ years of trade marketing, field marketing, or sales experience, preferably in FMCG, telecoms, or solar/energy sector.
- Familiarity with the northern Nigerian market and ability to speak Hausa is a strong advantage.
- Good people management skills and the ability to manage field teams, agents, and third-party vendors.
- Comfortable with frequent travel across the region.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and project coordination skills.
- Must be adaptable, and solution-oriented.
