This is an exciting opportunity for an art director or senior graphic designer with a social content and advertising background to join a fast-growing team of creatives. You will be expected to guide Sun King’s creative advertising campaigns across Africa. You will have the opportunity to produce the artwork for Sun King’s advertising campaigns across 10 countries, managing a team of talented designers.
Further, you will manage the work of social media focused designers who produce content for Sun King’s fast-growing and dynamic social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Your role will involve overseeing diverse design, advertising, and social media landscapes, notably managing our advertising and social media campaigns in countries such as Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Togo, Tanzania, and Zambia, among others.
We are looking for a ‘digital-first’ designer who has a passion for social media storytelling and who is excited by the prospect of working on creative, digitally minded advertising campaigns that seek to transition African households and businesses onto green, clean solar energy.
Requirements
Degree/Higher National Diploma or Advanced Degree in Graphic Design is highly preferable.
A minimum of 8 years’ experience in creative within Content or Advertising agencies.
Proven track record of spearheading impactful creative campaigns across diverse channels.
Skilled in the complete Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and experience in After Effects and XD will be an advantage.
Proficient in managing creative teams across global offices.
Deep knowledge of above-the-line and below-the-line campaign strategy and a proven ability to get projects over the line.
Deep knowledge of what works on social media and a proven ability to harness internet, social media, and digital trends and graphics concepts.
An eye for design and an ability to lay out artwork at speed to a high standard.
Deep knowledge of how to use design to communicate with consumers and sell products.
Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
