About the role
- Provides telecommunication maintenance, installation, and repair services
- Works alone or with a team
- Provides digital and analog telecommunication maintenance and repair services
- Installs telecommunications equipment, systems, and cables
- Performs telecommunications preventative maintenance inspections
- Provides support as required to include emergency restoration of communications cabling
- Solves problems by troubleshooting, repairing, and testing telecommunications equipment and systems
Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience in the telecommunications industry
- Minimum five years experience with cable (copper/fiber optic) facility locating, construction, installation, maintenance, and repair
- Outside Plant and/or switch experience a plus.
- An associate degree in electronic systems technology or equivalent experience.
- Must have or be able to obtain BICSI Technician Credential.
