Plans, organizes and directs the operation of the designated registered pharmacy
Trains and supervises professional and technical pharmacy staff
Develops and administers pharmacy procedures
Supervises the distribution of all drugs and medications to patients
Conducts orientation programs for professional and technical staff
Prepares and dispenses medically authorized prescription drugs
Reviews prescriptions for drugs as to appropriateness for dispensing to patients
Maintains contact with pharmaceutical companies, pharmacists, and health care institutions
Supervises purchasing procedures for all drugs and equipment used in pharmacy
Interprets federal, state and local regulations regarding pharmaceutical services
Maintains all records relating to the purchase and distribution of controlled substances

Requirements

What you’ll need

Graduation from a college with federally-authorized accreditation or registration by NY State with a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
Two (2) years of experience as a Licensed Pharmacist
Two (2) years of permanent competitive status as a Pharmacist I (Promotional)
