About the role
- Own the mechanical architecture and design of DLC systems, including cold plates, manifolds, enclosures, and rack-level integration.
- Collaborate with thermal, electrical, and controls teams to optimize overall system efficiency and reliability.
- Conduct CFD and FEA simulations to validate thermal, structural, and flow performance.
- Drive design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) initiatives with vendors and fabrication partners.
- Support prototype builds, performance testing, and design iteration cycles.
- Document design specifications, test results, and release packages for production.
- Provide mentorship and technical direction to junior and mid-level engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in thermal management or data center hardware.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar) and simulation tools (Ansys, COMSOL, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and materials for cooling systems.
- Proven experience taking products from concept through production.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
