About the role
- Design, develop, and validate electrical architectures from server to rack level, including PDUs, busbars, and cabinet-level power systems.
- Engineer and review data center electrical infrastructure, including LV/MV distribution, switchgear, UPS, and generator integration.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical (MEP) and design & build teams to ensure electrical systems align with cooling and overall facility architecture.
- Partner with OEMs (e.g., AMD, Dell, Nvidia, Supermicro) to optimize electrical integration at the rack and chassis level.
- Support innovation and R&D projects, developing scalable electrical designs for next-generation immersion-cooled environments.
- Contribute to D&B project execution: design review, vendor selection, commissioning, and on-site validation.
- Develop and maintain documentation, electrical schematics, and test protocols compliant with global standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, etc.).
- Ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency of all power systems while meeting sustainability and energy-efficiency objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in server power distribution and/or data center electrical systems.
- Proven track record with OEMs (AMD, Dell, Nvidia, Supermicro, etc.) or MEP/hyperscaler environments.
- Strong understanding of rack-level electrical design, PDUs, and power topologies.
- Experience with data center design standards (TIA-942, Uptime Institute, ASHRAE TC9.9).
- Familiarity with immersion cooling or advanced cooling methods a plus.
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills; ability to work in cross-functional and global teams.
