About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure successful completion of assigned engineering projects
- Apply engineering principles to Civil Site Design and Industrial Site Design projects
- Make independent decisions on civil engineering problems and methods
- Represent the company in client meetings and coordination conferences
- Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct assigned projects
- Establish and maintain primary client contact
- Prepare schedules to keep projects on time and within budget
- Determine staffing needs and hire, train, manage, and motivate personnel
- Establish quality and accuracy standards
- Review and approve complete plans
- Obtain improvement-plan and permitting approvals from governing entities
- Participate in new business development
- Support project scoping and technical proposal writeups
- Oversee client invoicing and payment collection
- Review and approve invoices and collect outstanding receivables
- Supervise Engineers and Technicians
- Collaborate with managers and employees to achieve the company’s mission
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS in Civil Engineering
- PE license in Kentucky is required
- 15 or more years’ experience or related experience
- Proficiency in oral and written communications
