Develop traffic control plans for various work zones
Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure compliance with design specifications
Conduct site evaluations and assessments
Provide technical expertise and guidance on traffic control issues
Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) development and review (Design work zone traffic control)
Developing and maintaining task/project schedules; construction cost estimates; tracking and managing budgets for projects; coordinating with other NCDOT divisions, as well as federal, state and local agencies;
Conduct and manage the TMP process from beginning to end, including scope development, task initiation, schedule development, consultant management, field review/evaluation
Attend and lead meetings
Prepare and participate in presentations to the client team
Proficient in engineering principles and practices
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
15 - 25 years' relevant experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license registered with the NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors
Previous experience in traffic control design and project management
