About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support field execution of aviation and airport infrastructure projects including terminals, airfields, utilities, roadways, and support facilities.
- Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, airport operations personnel, and project teams to facilitate construction activities.
- Monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists, and field documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and document daily construction activities and field observations.
- Review drawings, schedules, and technical specifications for constructability and compliance.
- Support project controls including tracking budgets, schedules, quantities, and project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with FAA requirements, airport standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
- Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Assist with coordination of utility relocations, phasing plans, and operational constraints within active airport environments.
- Promote a strong culture of safety and quality throughout all project phases.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Aviation Management, or related field.
- 2–6 years of experience in construction, aviation infrastructure, transportation, or related engineering projects.
- Understanding of construction methods, engineering plans, and field coordination processes.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in active construction and airport operational environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Experience supporting aviation, airport, or transportation infrastructure projects preferred.
- Familiarity with FAA advisory circulars, airport operations, and aviation design/construction standards preferred.
- EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure preferred.
- Experience with Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar platforms preferred.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
