About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage all aspects of project controls, including cost management, scheduling, forecasting, change management, and risk analysis across assigned projects
- Develop, maintain, and analyze project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost reports to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Oversee development, maintenance, and review of detailed project schedules using industry‑standard scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6)
- Monitor project performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and earned value methodologies, providing clear and actionable reporting to leadership and clients
- Manage change orders, claims support, and risk mitigation strategies to minimize financial and schedule impacts
- Collaborate closely with project managers, discipline leads, and client representatives to align on project objectives and delivery strategies
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, internal controls, and industry best practices
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to project controls staff, fostering professional development and continuous improvement
- Support business development and pursuit activities as needed, including project controls approaches, estimates, and schedules
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project controls, cost management, and/or scheduling for complex projects or programs
- Demonstrated experience managing cost and schedule controls on large, multi‑discipline projects
- Proficiency with project controls and scheduling software such as Primavera P6, cost management tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities with experience presenting to project leadership and clients
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
