About the role
- Assist in the design and review of roadway, highway, and site development projects
- Support roadway geometrics, modeling, and cross-section development
- Contribute to grading, drainage, and stormwater management design
- Assist with erosion and sediment control plans
- Support traffic control plans, traffic studies, and signalization layouts
- Prepare signing, pavement marking, and utility coordination plans
- Assist with preparation of plans, specifications, estimates (PS&E), and schematic design documents
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 0–4 years of relevant roadway or civil engineering experience preferred
- Successful completion of the FE exam / Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Experience or exposure to MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, InRoads/GEOPAK, Microsoft Office; AutoCAD a plus
- Active participation in professional societies encouraged
- Ability to perform essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safety.
