About the role
- Production of contract documents including plans and specifications
- Perform pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations
- Process modeling for wastewater treatment and resource recovery systems for biosolids, energy, and nutrient management
- Prepare construction and design cost estimates
- Perform engineering duties in planning and designing water and wastewater pipelines, storage, and treatment systems
- Responsible for or willingness to learn project management, client interface and business development of future projects
- Make site visits during design and construction to observe the construction installation
- Review construction shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documents
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent
- A minimum of 15 years of experience is required
- Experience in water and wastewater systems is required
- Experience working with local municipalities and utility companies
- Ability to work and communicate well with other design disciplines
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with production tools, or modeling and design software is a plus
