About the role
- Oversee the successful delivery of Rail projects, working closely with project teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
- Plans the complete project execution and develops the project management plan.
- Schedules and monitors manpower requirements against the project budget/spending performance.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with projects and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential Rail clients.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including engineering teams, business development, and marketing teams to develop and implement strategies for business growth.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes within the Rail sector.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, or structural engineering, or a related field.
- NJ Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 15+ years of experience in Rail project management and business development, with a proven track record of driving business growth and delivering successful Rail projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of Rail engineering principles, standards, and practices.
- Excellent business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new Rail business opportunities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
- Experience in proposal development, bid management, and contract negotiation.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, project assignments, and industry events.
- PMP Certification highly encouraged.
