About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Preparing comprehensive cost estimates by performing detailed quantity takeoffs
Applying labor productivity and production rate analysis
Procuring material and equipment pricing
Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor proposals
Integrating all project cost components into a complete and accurate estimate
Developing conceptual, budgetary, and final bid estimates
Defining and quantifying project scope based on drawings, specifications, and site conditions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
5+ years of progressive estimating experience, with strong preference for candidates experienced in self-performed concrete restoration, structural repair, or specialty contracting
Proven ability to estimate projects up to $10M+ in value
Experience managing multiple estimates concurrently, including mentoring or supporting junior estimators
Demonstrated advanced expertise in concrete repair and restoration methodologies, productivity-driven estimating for self-performed work, construction contract analysis and risk allocation, and a comprehensive understanding of the NY/NJ construction market, including pricing dynamics and key stakeholder relationships
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, industry-standard estimating software (e.g., OST, Bluebeam, or similar), and the interpretation of construction drawings and specifications
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 10–20%.
