About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of estimators and preconstruction professionals
Manage performance, career development, and training plans
Oversee all estimating efforts for the branch; lead select strategic pursuits directly
Drive conceptual and design-build estimating for complex projects
Develop and execute winning bid strategies based on market conditions and competitor insights
Partner with Business Development to support capture strategies and client engagement
Support and lead client presentations, proposals, and interviews
Identify and mitigate project risks during preconstruction
Oversee estimating tools, data systems, and historical cost databases

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
10+ years of construction estimating experience
Proven experience managing estimating teams
Strong background in: Design-build and conceptual estimating, Large, complex projects ($10M+), Bid strategy development and execution
Proficiency with: Estimating software and Excel, Construction drawings and specifications, Scheduling tools (Level 2 schedules preferred), CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
