About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and support coating and linings projects for nuclear plant systems involving coating selection, qualification, performance assessment, and application for nuclear and industrial applications
Lead or support commercial grade dedication (CGD) of coatings and lining systems, including identification of critical characteristics, development of dedication plans, supplier evaluation, and ensuring compliance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B quality assurance requirements
Develop technical scopes of work, specifications, and inspection plans
Evaluate coating degradation, failure mechanisms, and life extension strategies
Support field activities including contractor oversight and QA
Interface with clients to identify needs and develop follow-on work
Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities, developing proposals and engaging with clients
Collaborate internally to cross sell SI offerings, bundle services, and expand scope
Develop standardized approaches and best practices
Author and review technical reports, test plans, and client deliverables
Engage in client consulting, troubleshooting, and field application support

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Materials Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5–15+ years in coatings, corrosion, linings, or asset integrity
Direct experience supporting commercial grade dedication (CGD) of materials or components
Experience in specification, inspection, assessment, or rehabilitation
Strong client-facing and communication skills
Ability to support business development activities
Excellent communication and technical writing skills
Ability to travel (~15–30%) to support client projects, testing, and business development
Ability to obtain Nuclear Unescorted Access Authorization (UAA) as required
