About the role
- Develop and maintain application architectures that support rapid iteration and deployment.
- Leverage full-stack development skills (Node.js, React, TypeScript/JavaScript) to design and develop server-side applications and user interfaces.
- Lead the design and implementation of backend and frontend features.
- Ensure robust and secure coding practices and adhere to high-security standards.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering Leadership to set and achieve milestones.
- Mentor and coach team members to elevate engineering quality.
- Design and build infrastructure as code for efficient, scalable deployment.
- Take ownership of significant portions of the codebase and infrastructure.
- Work closely with DevOps and Security teams to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Establish best practices, implement new features, and manage infrastructure as code.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in full-stack web development, typically 7+ years.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, expert problem-solving, effective communication, and ability to mentor others.
- Proficiency with TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Experience with a JavaScript framework (React preferred).
- Experience with Node.js and modern server-side application development.
- Experience with RESTful APIs.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
- Experience with package dependency management (NPM/Yarn).
- Experience deploying apps/services to cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Commitment to robust and secure coding practices and high-security standards.
- Experience designing and building infrastructure as code.
- Ability to collaborate with Product, Design, QA, Engineering Leadership, DevOps, and Security teams.
- Bias for alignment, action, and growth; ability to flexibly assist scrum teams.
