About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Teach swimming skills in accordance with SafeSplash® curriculum in a fun, positive manner.
- Alternate between a guard and instructor duties.
- Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts.
- Ensure swimmer safety.
- Maintain proper equipment and time organization to ensure timely class start times.
- Provide customers with monthly, individualized feedback on swimmers during Splash ‘N Tell week.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Great if you have 2 years of swim instruction experience, but will train the right person!
- Must Have Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR/AED certification for adult, infant and child
- WSI a bonus
- Special consideration given to instructors with multiple years of experience teaching children aged 6 months to 10 years and/or special needs children
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 35 lbs.
