About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage 3-6 direct reports
Coordinate property assignments and tasks to ensure timely and accurate client accounting and reporting
Identify training needs, track employee performance, and foster a positive work environment
Promote positive internal and external customer service
Review financial statement packages prior to submission to clients
Assist accountants with financial processes such as debt and real estate taxes
Update and maintain current project information for internal tracking

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years’ experience in accounting/finance
Previous management experience required
CPA license preferred
Ability to effectively delegate workloads and inspire and motivate accountants
In-depth understanding of accounting methods (cash, accrual, and full GAAP) and financial terms and principles
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and openness to new ideas and procedures
