About the role
- Gather, analyse, and document business and clinical requirements into functional and technical specifications (user stories, BRDs, process flows)
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workflow analysis, and workshops to identify pain points and define solutions
- Propose build options for EMR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, Veeva, or Meditech, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
- Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure requirements are implemented correctly
- Develop and execute test cases (unit, functional, UAT) to validate solutions against requirements
- Manage requirements traceability across the full project lifecycle, from initiation through go-live
- Support project managers by identifying risks, issues, and dependencies related to requirements and scope
- Create and maintain documentation such as requirement catalogues, process diagrams, and training materials
- Provide expert support to end-users during training, go-live, and post-implementation phases
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in EMR/EHR or clinical system implementations
- Hands-on experience with major EMR platforms (Epic, Cerner, Veeva, Meditech); certification is preferred
- Strong knowledge of requirements gathering techniques and documentation standards
- Understanding of clinical workflows such as patient scheduling, orders, documentation, and research
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR)
- Experience with testing methodologies and tools
