About the role
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within an existing Visual FoxPro application.
- Ensure stability and performance of the system while maintaining business continuity.
- Implement fixes, minor enhancements, and optimizations to improve application functionality and performance.
- Ensure that code changes are clean, efficient, and well-documented to support long-term maintainability.
- Work closely with internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide knowledge transfer and documentation for ongoing support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience working with Visual FoxPro in debugging and maintaining legacy systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Ability to work independently and deliver solutions within agreed timelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Prior experience working with legacy applications in a contract or consulting capacity is a plus.
