About the role
- Responsible for working closely with D&T Partners to jointly assess and qualify opportunities from market and review GO/ NO-GO based on capabilities, skills, experience and capacity
- Work on developing end to end quality proposals (Technical and Financial) for Digital & Technology scopes of work – including all required coordination with 3rd party vendors and consortium members and external SMEs
- Independently lead high-quality delivery of consulting (advisory) engagements in line with the offerings of D&T service line for a range of clients
- Responsible for initiating, managing and closing consulting assignments (right from planning, work allocation, conducting field work, client discussions, analysis, deliverable preparation, reviews, administrative activities, project management activities, project risk and schedule management, leading client workshops, presentations, and leading up to conclusion, hand-over and closure)
- Engage clients at Minister / CxO / board level to technology and innovation pursuits as well as engagement-specific interaction needs
- Build and nurture client relationships, particularly those where an engagement is delivered. Support in client/account management activities for the practice
- Lead the project team comprising consultants, associates, interns or team members from other practices collaborating on a client assignment. Ensure team is well informed, updated and their tasks are well managed, aligned to client’s and projects expectations
- Support in business development activities, developing and managing pipeline and conversion
- Should be able to independently able to lead proposal delivery on time and with high quality (covering activities such as conducting background checks, bid planning, managing client communications, proposal development, analysis, collaboration with other SG teams / Practices, preparing for and supporting in deal review boards and overseeing submissions, post submission activities, responses and tracking, leading Pitch presentations and closure activities)
- Lead and contribute to developing thought leadership and PoVs (Point of Views) based on technology and industry / business trends, relevant for the region
- Support in practice development activities such as development of tool-kits, re-usable artifacts, reference libraries, forms, templates and guides for projects and proposals. Support in continual enhancements of these artifacts
- Train and provide guidance to junior team members in the practice, in their areas of work (projects, business development, as well as for their all-round development as management consultants)
- Work with internal stakeholders – in articulating customer situations, extracting the best solution proposition for the customer and in ensuring customer delight
- Participate / support teams in participating/representing SG at key local & regional industry forums
- Support practice leadership in developing a strong market connection, developing and executing sector or solution specific go-to-market strategies for the D&T service line.
Requirements
- Preferred candidates will come with a consulting background - either having worked with a leading management consulting firm or an internal consulting division/techno-functional role within a multi-national that focused on advising on technology issues to achieve strategic business objectives and focus on Go-to-Market "GTM"
- Candidate will have practical experience in successfully delivering strategic assignments of similar nature to those executed in the D&T practice
- Has 6-8 years of professional experience, with preferably 3-4 years in management consulting / advisory space
- Ability to multitask in a demanding environment; work on one or more engagements or lead engagements independently and lead / support business and practice development activities
- Candidate is passionate about technology, and its potential to drive businesses
- He/she is tech-fluent, well read and/or keeps current with emerging technology / digital trends globally, and for specific sectors of interest
- Exhibits business savviness, and can understand value chain, business operating model, revenue model, and how technology can enable and drive these aspects for clients
- Experience in leading/delivering large multi-million-dollar technology transformations is a plus
- Business Development experience with a track record of leading / supporting large/complex deals
- Candidates are confident in engaging with Ministers / C-level executives and promoters
- Familiarity with / having worked with clients or organizations in KSA and GCC is a plus
- Experience in leading, training, nurturing/developing a team
- Management graduate from a top university/business school
- Industry presence e.g. past publications, participation in conferences is a plus
- Exposure to / knowledge of concepts (either through engagements delivered or through certifications) in areas such as Architecture, Business Analysis, Experience & process design e.g. TOGAF, Zachman, PMP, Prince 2, Cloud, BPM, Analytics, PMP, SAFe Agilist 5.0, ITIL, Six Sigma, BPR, CX design, standards and frameworks
- Any certification or product / architecture experience across emerging technologies (e.g. AI, ML, IoT, Blockchain, EA tools, Low-code / no-code platforms etc.) will be a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, orator, and presentation skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and history of developing strong client and team relationships
- High energy individual possessing excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adept at preparing and presenting to senior audiences
- Demonstrates excellent leadership and team player attitude
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills, and he/she can manage multiple tasks
- Regular reading habits to stay abreast of new trends & developments and maintains confidentiality
