About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform preventative maintenance and corrective service on commercial solar systems
- Lead pre- and post-energization commissioning activities
- Troubleshoot inverters, DAS/SCADA systems, MET stations, trackers, and related equipment
- Complete punch list walks and support project closeout
- Prepare detailed service and commissioning reports
- Train and mentor apprentice-level technicians
- Coordinate with project teams, utilities, and asset owners during system energization
- Support warranty, repower, and EPC projects as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of commercial solar O&M and commissioning experience
- Journeyman Electrician License (or equivalent)
- OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E
- Experience with inverters, DAS/SCADA systems, SEL relays, and single-axis trackers
- Strong troubleshooting and leadership skills
- Ability to travel 100% nationwide for extended periods
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
