About the role

  • Oversee the full development process, including planning, scheduling, task management, budget control (in collaboration with finance), and resource allocation.
  • Create and maintain project Gantt charts, establish milestones, and ensure teams remain on track to meet deadlines.
  • Monitor progress and address challenges proactively to ensure projects align with the company’s goals.
  • Collaborate with the Production Director and CCO to identify and recruit key project personnel.
  • Assign team members to project phases and oversee onboarding for new hires.
  • Mentor team members, fostering a culture of professional growth and development.
  • Support HR in recruitment efforts, including conducting interviews.
  • Manage team absences, ensuring continuity in project delivery by tracking time logs and coordinating coverage.

  • Monitor post-launch game performance, gathering user feedback and implementing corrective measures as needed.

  • Facilitate communication between teams, ensuring effective collaboration and information sharing.
  • Moderate planning and review meetings to set team goals and monitor their achievement.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges that could impact development timelines or success.
  • Develop contingency plans and implement strategies to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Maintain communication with publishers to align on objectives and deadlines, presenting updates and deliverables.
  • Contribute to the negotiation of financial aspects, outsourcing contracts, and freelancer agreements.
  • Monitor deliverables from external vendors to ensure quality and deadlines are met.
  • Liaise with platform holders (e.g., Steam, Sony, Microsoft) to ensure successful game releases.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in video game production, with experience leading projects to completion.
  • Proficient with production tools like Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and familiar with distribution platforms (e.g., Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage full project lifecycles, from kickoff to delivery, while meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Working knowledge of Agile frameworks for game development.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams.
