About the role

  • Your 3-year apprenticeship begins on 01.08.2026 at our Dortmund location.
  • The training provides insight into planning, implementing and maintaining IT networks.
  • Your tasks include seamlessly connecting people, machines and data by setting up extensive networks and integrating modern technologies such as SD‑WAN.
  • WAN connections: You will learn to configure router interfaces and interconnect company sites.
  • Protocols: In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP).
  • IT security: Encryption of customer data in transit, for example to a data center.
  • Communication: Develop the ability to understand customer needs and adapt configurations accordingly.
  • Troubleshooting: Learn methods for rapid diagnosis and resolution of faults.

Requirements

  • A school-leaving certificate with good grades in core subjects (secondary school diploma, specialized high school diploma or Abitur)
  • Basic understanding of terms like routers, switches and IP addresses is an advantage
  • You enjoy developing solutions to solve existing problems
  • You enjoy working in a team and are open-minded and interested in intercultural collaboration
  • Very good German language skills (written and spoken) for smooth communication, plus good English skills
