About the role
- Supporting and managing a diverse engineering and design project team
- Research, define, test, and implement processes
- Develop P&ID’s, Process Flow Diagrams, Utility drawings, project specifications, and equipment layouts for food-processing facilities
- Properly sizing, specifying, and integrating process equipment
- Coordinating structural, mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Providing direction to engineers, designers and CAD operators for the creation of engineering drawings
- Generating and managing various forms of communication, including RFI’s and submittals
- Preparing contract documents, calculations, observation reports, and estimates
- Aiding in the bidding of equipment and services
- Assisting in estimating layout costs for specified processes
- Effectively responding to the needs and requests of clients
- Utilizing company software/tools to ensure all necessary documents are in-place and processed
- Coordinating with outside engineering and architectural resources on all aspects of design
- Providing onsite and/or offsite direction and support to Field Engineers and Superintendents throughout the project
Requirements
- BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred)
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience (Food and Beverage preferred)
- Familiarity with Food Safety Designs and Guidelines
- Technical Writing Skills
- Skilled in relevant software; Procore, MS Office Suite, BlueBeam, Adobe, MS Project or Primavera P6, Power BI, AutoCAD and BIM / ACC
- Travel required to customer locations, OEM locations, and construction site locations
