About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build meaningful and healthy relationships with each individual supported
- Provide transportation and activity choice to each individual daily
- Participate in activities such as dart tournaments, dances, company events, library visits, talent shows, and monthly birthday parties
- Enable individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to access their community
- Help individuals create meaningful and healthy relationships with peers, staff, and community members
- Assist individuals in achieving goals and gaining independence
- Transport clients in a personal vehicle
- Complete a required multi-point vehicle safety inspection and resolve required repairs within 30 days of hire
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Safe and reliable vehicle
- Willingness to transport individuals in a personal vehicle
- Appropriate and valid vehicle insurance and registration
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others
- Ability to lift and transfer 50–75 lbs.
- Passion and dedication for caring for and advocating for adults with disabilities
- Personal vehicle must pass Colorado's detailed multi-point safety inspection, unless the vehicle is 5 years old or newer
- Any required vehicle repairs must be completed within 30 days of hire
