About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the development of high-performance backend services using **Java (11+) and Micronaut**.
Design and evolve architectures based on **microservices and event-driven** patterns, using **Kafka**.
Define and implement patterns for **resilience, scalability and observability** in AWS environments.
Model data and optimize advanced queries in **PostgreSQL**.
Ensure best practices for security, versioning and service governance.
Conduct **code reviews**, disseminating standards and raising the technical quality of the team.
Participate in incident analysis, troubleshooting and **continuous improvement**.
Mentor developers and act as a technical reference within the team.
Influence the technical roadmap and architectural decisions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience with **Java 11+** and modern frameworks (preferably Micronaut).
Strong knowledge of **distributed architecture and microservices**.
Advanced experience with **Kafka** (topics, partitions, consumer groups, DLQ, event-driven patterns).
Proficiency in **PostgreSQL** (data modeling, tuning and performance).
Experience with **AWS** (RDS, MSK, API Gateway; IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation is a plus).
Knowledge of **CI/CD, automated testing and DevOps practices**.
Proven ability to lead complex technical solutions.
**Nice-to-haves:**
Experience with **DDD, Event Sourcing or CQRS**.
Experience using tools such as **DataDog, OpenTelemetry or Feature Flags**.
Experience as a **Tech Lead** or technical leadership role.
Experience with **multi-region and fault-tolerant architectures**.
