About the role

  • Program and maintain systems in COBOL, including implementing changes and improvements as needed.
  • Work with DB2 for data manipulation, including queries, updates, and performance optimizations.
  • Use PowerDesigner to apply changes and updates to the data model, ensuring database integrity and efficiency.
  • Update and maintain technical documentation using SharePoint, ensuring all artifacts are accessible and organized.
  • Execute and monitor batch jobs using XPEDitor, and work with CICS for online transaction management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in COBOL programming.
  • Strong knowledge of DB2 and database manipulation.
  • Knowledge of CICS is a plus and desirable for the role.
  • Familiarity with PowerDesigner for data modeling.
  • Experience with XPEDitor for debugging and monitoring batch jobs and CICS.
