About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as Product Owner for payment initiation platform development and integration with enterprise applications
- Support product-related change, including business cases aligned with client needs, regulations, and internal policies
- Design and improve operating models, standards, and technical architecture with Product Management, Technology, and Global Delivery
- Lead agile team members in defect identification, triage, root-cause analysis, and remediation
- Support annual planning and funding prioritization
- Oversee archiving of development and implementation documentation for business and audit needs
- Gather input from subject matter experts, operations, product managers, client service teams, and clients
- Develop business requirements, use cases, operational flows, Agile stories, epics, and groomed backlogs
- Drive solutions and integration strategy, including a standard interface catalogue based on defined data standards
- Maintain understanding of local regulatory impacts and standards
- Own projects or initiatives as requested, with appropriate PMO reporting
- Maintain governance and audit trails for key decisions and actions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5+ years of experience in Securities Services or Banking/Payments
- Product and operational background or experience with payments and deposit banking
- Understanding of business needs for platform integration
- Experience developing and implementing applications desirable
- Technical familiarity with ISO 20022 messaging standards, including pacs, pain, and camt
- Experience building interface catalogues
- Agile experience as a Product Owner or Principal Product Owner desired
- Experience working in Product organizations desired
- Global operating experience
- Prior experience in Operations and/or Technology
- Knowledge of system behavior, business requirements, industry knowledge, and best practices
- Ability to design and test solutions
- Ability to articulate change impacts to team members, testers, and business end users
- Ability to review and edit documentation for completeness and clarity
- Ability to write Agile stories and epics, establish and groom a backlog
- Subject matter knowledge in payments and banking business processes
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience delivering change in complex environments while managing competing priorities
- Experience delivering projects using Agile and Waterfall techniques
- Proven track record as a change agent
- Strong stakeholder management skills
