About the role
- Monitor regulatory developments released by the U.S. banking agencies and the Basel Committee
- Develop analyses in support of the Bank’s advocacy effort to the FRB, FDIC and OCC
- Collaborate with the Regulatory Affairs group and engage with industry forums
- Provide rule interpretation and technical expertise to various functions across the organization
- Collaborate with various functions to identify and execute capital optimization initiatives
- Assist business units with ad-hoc RWA modeling requests
- Maintain and enhance the Basel policy framework
- Perform an ongoing assessment of the Bank’s RWA treatments
- Guide team members in performing quantitative analyses
- Develop policy materials/memos addressing key interpretive matters
- Engage in strategic Basel related analytical projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics or related field
- Master’s in Finance or Business Administration, CFA/CPA preferred
- Eight or more years of experience in the banking/financial services industry
- advanced knowledge of banking industry products, services and capital markets activities
- Advanced knowledge of the U.S. capital rules and the upcoming Basel IV framework
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and other similar tools
