Employee Relations Consultant – Assistant Vice President
State StreetEmployee Relations Consultant managing employee relations cases in Poland. Advising on workplace matters and supporting manager capability in a regulated environment.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage end-to-end employee relations cases, including disciplinary matters, grievances, performance improvement processes, investigations, redundancies, and involuntary terminations.
- Advise and coach managers on the appropriate handling of sensitive employee relations matters in line with internal policies, procedures, and applicable employment regulations.
- Lead and support employee relations investigations, including interviews, fact-finding, documentation, analysis, and outcome recommendations.
- Partner with HR Business Partners, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent, well-governed, and defensible outcomes.
- Provide guidance on individual and collective consultation processes, including preparation of documentation and employee communications.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records, ensuring governance standards and audit readiness.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of employee relations processes, tools, and practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in Employee Relations or a related Human Resources role, operating in a consultative capacity.
- Experience advising and influencing managers at multiple organisational levels.
- Ability to apply policy, judgement, and risk awareness in complex or sensitive situations.
- Good level of written and verbal English, enabling effective communication with stakeholders in a global environment.
- Good working knowledge of Polish employment law, with the ability to apply legal requirements in practical employee relations scenarios is required.
- A degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Law, or a related discipline is helpful but not mandatory.
- Experience working within a multinational and/or regulated environment is preferred.
