About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the senior-most technical escalation point for all Gen AI platform issues
  • Perform advanced root cause analysis (RCA) on platform outages and performance degradation
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize the health and performance of Gen AI workloads
  • Troubleshoot architecture spanning API gateways, networking, and model serving infrastructure
  • Collaborate with L1/L2 support teams to develop runbooks and knowledge base articles
  • Partner with Development, MLOps, and Infrastructure teams to identify recurring issues
  • Drive automation of support workflows by developing scripts and monitoring dashboards
  • Stay current with platform updates and ensure compliance with organizational standards
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to L1/L2 support engineers
  • Participate in on-call rotations for production issues as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in production support, platform engineering, cloud operations, or site reliability engineering (SRE), with at least 2+ years focused on AI/ML or Gen AI platforms
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Azure AI services, including Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Foundry, and Azure Cognitive Services
  • Deep hands-on expertise with AWS AI/ML services, including AWS Bedrock and associated AWS services
  • Strong working knowledge of Databricks, including Unity Catalog, MLflow, and model serving endpoints
  • Proficiency in Python and scripting (Bash/PowerShell) for troubleshooting and automation
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management
  • Experience with API troubleshooting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
  • Working knowledge of monitoring and observability tools
  • Understanding of LLM concepts and Gen AI architectures
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps/MLOps practices
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes
