About the role
- The Managing Director, Collateral Management (India), is a senior leadership role within the Global Collateral Management Team, part of Global Delivery
- Responsible for the strategic direction, operational management, and delivery of collateral management services
- Ensuring exceptional client outcomes and adherence to State Street standards
- Scope Cross client collateral management and processing, including direct client interaction with senior executives and portfolio managers
- Management of large direct organizations across India
- Drive delivery of goals and expectations to ensure consistent service delivery with key metrics to measure progress and celebrate success
- Lead by example in demonstrating behaviors of a high performing culture in which people operate to deliver client outcomes
- Effectively manage staff on both direct and virtual teams across Operating Centers by driving the mission of the Global Middle Office
- Provide subject matter expertise to the team and to the client on the management, processing and delivery of collateral positions in financial markets globally
Requirements
- 18 years + experience in financial services, presently in a leadership role managing large Investment Management operations
- Technical knowledge of collateral management activities and associated regulations is a minimum mandatory expected requirement
- Experience with change management programs in sponsorship, leadership roles
- Demonstrated ability to execute under challenging circumstances and deliver targeted outcomes and in particular technology transformation is a must
- Experience interfacing at a senior level with Clients, service providers and Regulators
- Navigate a large, global organization
- Proven leadership skills as well as managing and developing a high performing operations team
- Proven track record of achieving/exceeding financial goals through expense discipline and headcount management
- Cross-cultural awareness and the ability to connect with colleagues globally in a collaborative, open work environment.
