About the role
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Mentor, supervise, and train staff
- Evaluate team performance and execute performance management processes
- Supervise tax engagements and assist with tax planning, consulting, and compliance
- Review income tax returns prepared by staff
- Analyze trusts and other documents for tax return filing requirements
- Participate in new business development activities
- Respond to inquiries from team members, clients, and the IRS
- Keep clients informed of tax regulation developments
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or business administration
- CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred
- 7 to 10 years of direct fiduciary tax experience
- Emphasis on Charitable Remainder trusts and exempt organizations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with OneSource Trust tax software
- Experience with trust accounting systems and Global Plus
