About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervises the physical exercise of clients in all phases of Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
- Responsibilities include cardiac risk factor awareness, physical response to exercise, and safety guidelines during exercise.
- Assists with the admission of patients to Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, gathering information for outcomes and community education.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree; six months recent relevant experience is preferred.
- Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross.
- The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.
- Ability to accurately measure blood pressure and heart rate.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent communication skills with focus on healthy lifestyle essential.
