PFS Team Lead – Billing
St. Tammany Health SystemPFS Team Lead responsible for billing and A/R management at St. Tammany Health System.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for monitoring all A/R staff activities to ensure accurate, complete and timely filing and follow-up
- Responsible for working with the payer to resolve repetitive issues regarding denials or contract compliance
- Responsible for determining appropriate response or corrective action to denials, including assistance needed from other departments or staff
- Analyzing data collected and identifying opportunities to reduce denials and improve the revenue cycle
- Responsible for reporting trends to supervisor
- Responsible for overseeing training of all new employees in assigned area
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a High School graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months of demonstrated experience in billing and A/R management for all payors
- Detailed oriented; ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervisor
- Prioritize, organize and monitor multiple tasks
- Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and written
- Exercise sound judgment with established guidelines
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments
- Use Microsoft Office in performance of duties and responsibilities
- AAHAM Certification preferred but not required.
