About the role
- Assist with internal audits and monitoring activities, including HIPAA reviews.
- Maintain compliance hotline, triage cases, and ensure accurate logging and timely follow-up.
- Support maintenance of policies, procedures, and training documentation.
- Prepare compliance communications and help coordinate educational campaigns.
- Participate in committee meetings and act as meeting scribe when required.
- Track and manage departmental documentation and regulatory reference materials.
- Assist in third-party vendor review and BAA tracking.
- Maintain compliance dashboard data, internal communication pages, and calendar updates.
- Participate in rounding, onboarding, and special events (e.g., Compliance Week).
- Support ad hoc tasks and special compliance projects as directed by the Manager or Director.
Requirements
- Associate degree preferred but not required in healthcare, health information management, public health, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
- Previous experience in healthcare, administrative support, or regulatory operations preferred, but not required.
- Strong interest in compliance and regulatory topics, with a demonstrated ability to learn new systems and concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn compliance software platforms.
