About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Overseeing and driving the sales activities within a designated division.
  • Developing and executing sales strategies and ensuring the division meets or exceeds its sales targets.
  • Working closely with other departments, including marketing, operations, and customer service, to foster strong relationships, optimize revenue growth, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Design and implement effective sales strategies to achieve the division's revenue and growth targets.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports on progress towards targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities, market trends, and competitor activity.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, business partners, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage the division’s sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum return on investment.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on sales activities, achievements, and challenges.
  • Organize training sessions for the sales team to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Continuously assess and refine the sales process to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop the bid winning strategy, bid and price submission documentation.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Knowledge in Business / Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a sales management or leadership role, preferably within Defence and public security
  • Experience with government sales and tender process
  • A history of successful sales strategy execution.
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in managing and developing sales teams.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel to client sites, industry events, and team meetings as required.
