About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, configure, commission, and test underwater sonar systems, including transducers, arrays, processing units, interfaces, and associated power and UW network infrastructure within the system is operational and serviceable at sites.
- Coordination with Authority to perform routine, corrective, and preventive maintenance on sonar and underwater acoustic systems to ensure operational availability and system reliability.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot sonar system faults spanning hardware, cabling, connectors, acoustic sensors, signal conditioning units, and embedded software to minimise system downtime.
- Support system integration, alignment, calibration, and functional verification of sonar systems, including during upgrades, retrofits, or system modifications.
- Conduct on-site testing, verification, and acceptance activities, including system health checks, operational testing, and post-maintenance validation.
- Provide technical support, operational guidance, and basic training to customers, operators, and end-users on sonar system operation and maintenance.
- Prepare accurate service reports, fault findings, maintenance records, and configuration documentation in accordance with quality and contractual requirements.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, maritime safety regulations, electrical safety standards, and offshore work procedures, including work on vessels and restricted coastal sites.
- Liaise with OEM and Vendors to resolve technical issues where applicable.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge in Engineering in Electronics or equivalent
- Min 2 years’ experience in providing maintenance service
- Able to perform 24/7 stand-by and attend to system faults within the respond time and resolution time
- Able to work outfield on site
- Good team player and yet able to work independently.
- Possession of a valid Class 3 driving license would be advantageous
- Singaporean only
